Fatimah S. Baeshen

Fatimah S. Baeshen is the Founding Principal at QMA. Baeshen has over 20 years of experience working at the nexus of economic development, management consulting, and public affairs; having previously advised the private and public sectors, as well as, international organizations on these areas. She is impact-driven and passionate about emerging tech for public benefit; especially through strategic partnerships and organic innovation ecosystem development.

She held positions with and/or advised AON, the Islamic Development Bank, the World Bank, along with several conglomerates and government institutions both in emerging markets and the United States. She later served in the press secretary post for the Saudi Embassy in Washington, DC; as well as, director of public affairs for the G20.

She is published in several outlets including Time Magazine, Arab News, Al Arabiya, as well as, Islamic Finance News and has appeared on various news shows and outlets; ranging from Fox’s Mornings with Maria, CBS, ABC, CNN, CGTN, BBC, and PBS to MSNBC’s The Point. She also wrote a reflective book targeting youth, “140 Life Lessons I Wish I Knew at 20.”

Baeshen is a bicultural by-product of her Saudi heritage and up-bringing in Mississippi.  She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Massachusetts Commonwealth Honors College (Amherst), and her Master of Arts at the University of Chicago’s Center for Middle Eastern Studies, where she wrote her thesis on Islamic Finance Regulation in Secular Markets. 

Fatimah is GCC-based.
